TV favourite Mr Motivator is the latest star to be confirmed for our Fundraising Gala Dinner next month!
Mr Motivator joins Bridgerton star Ruby Barker, who plays Marina Thompson in the hit Netflix series, actor Jacob Dudman, best known as Thomas Price in The Stranger, and The X Factor and Happy Mondays singer Rowetta.
Mr Motivator will act as raffle host, Ruby will deliver the welcome address, Jacob is the after-dinner speaker and Rowetta is performing live.
A panel of specialists from across the modern slavery sector will also be discussing advances in survivor support as part of the evening’s theme: Innovation in Recovery- A Journey Beyond Exploitation.
The event, which will take place on September 21st at Sheffield's Millenium Gallery, aims to both fundraise and raise awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking and crime reduction.
Official government figures revealed that in 2022, nearly 17,000 potential trafficking victims were referred for support from the government’s National Referral Mechanism. However unofficial figures for the UK put the likely number of exploitation victims in the country at over 100,000. It is a major crime often happening in plain sight.
